Doomsday prophecy is often associated with religious beliefs, yet there's a rich tradition of doomsday prophecy from other sources.  While many of this group were religious in their beliefs, they are handled as a separate category because prophecy or science is their primary occupation.  Our intent is to provide a representative group of links to many of these ancient and modern day seers.  Because some in this category have obtained a greater following than others, we have provided individual pages to a few with the others being consolidated on a single page, following the appropriate hyperlink will take you to sources for each listed practitioner.
