Mad Cow Pandemic

The incidence of Mad Cow disease being transmitted to humans has been so small as to be statistically insignificant, perhaps even non existent except in rare instances.  A Mad Cow pandemic, even if limited to our bovine population would have serious consequences, well beyond the economic impact.  Though PETA might be pleased by the increase in vegetarians there would be MILLIONS of read meat eaters who would be very unhappy.
